Before that the Honda founders, Soichiro Honda and Takeo Fujisawa had created a scooter with the name Juno but it was not well received and it was discontinued in 1954.
The Japanese could not accept it because it was inappropriate and too complex for developing countries like Japan at the time.

This is because the construction of the scooter is more complex. Scooter tires that are too small and make it unsafe for potholed roads or newly developed roads.

In 1956 they visited Germany. They got the idea when they saw many mopeds and simple motorcycles on the streets of the European country.

Soichiro is an engineer and tends to production division while Takeo in turn acting more towards business and marketing.

Takeo told Soichiro that the Honda company needs a new model genre. So Takeo gives some guidelines to Soichiro so that he can build the motorcycle of his dreams.

Takeo wanted a motorcycle with a small but powerful, rugged and economical engine. Then the 50cc engine is an option to be economical and cheaper.

The motorcycle can be ridden with one hand only because the other hand is to hold a bowl of buckwheat noodles. The idea arises when seeing a cyclist who only uses one hand while the other hand to carry something.

The new idea is that the motorcycle has a cover that can cover the side of the motorcycle so that the engine and cables do not look tangled on the motorcycle.

Soichiro continued to be interested in the idea and upon his return to Japan, he continued to produce Cub as desired.

As a result they were able to officially sell the Honda Super Cub C100 in 1958. A motorcycle with a 3-speed transmission system with an air-cooled 4-stroke OHV engine.

At the beginning of its appearance, the Honda Super Cub C100 was priced at 55,000 yen. After that the production expanded to continental Europe and attracted many fans.

The Honda Cub has moved from one generation to the next and is the latest with the Honda EX5 as previously featured.
